Ridiculously long wait in a drive-through, horrible food and service

I had the worst experience at McDonald's Secunda on Friday 26 January 2019. I arrived at McDonald's at 00h30 (estimated time) using the drive through.

First I had a big struggle to get my order placed as the intercom in the drive through was not working properly. I had to repeat my order almost 3 times. Finally when my order was placed I continued to the window where you pay. In front of me there was another customer. The customer paid and did not drive to the next window. I got frustrated not knowing that it was not his fault that we are delayed and standing still for a whole while. After almost 30 minutes a customer from the back of the queue got out of his car and walked to the pay window to enquire what was going on. Only then we got informed that their system is off-line. After that we stood in the queue for 10 more minutes. By the time I got to the front I had to repeat my order 2 more times.

Finally I paid and proceeded to the collect window. When I received my order my order was incorrect. The lady at the collect window said that they can take my cash and go and pay for me at the pay window. I did not have cash on me and she said that she does not know how to assist me then. The manager then came and asked me what I am on about. I explained to him that we waited for goodness know's who long in the queue and now my order is wrong after repeating it countless times. I said to him just give me the burger you missed on my order, I am beyond irritated and tired, I just want to eat and get home. He said I can get the burger but I must not expect it to be for free. At the end, I had to wait AGAIN, and swipe my card AGAIN!

Then, to make it all worse the food was horrible! The lettuce on my Junior Chicken burger was stale and barely had any mayonnaise on, the Junior Cheese Beef burger had one gherkin on and barely any tomato sauce or onions and the patty was horrible. My chicken nuggets was also beyond dry, I actually choked on one. My husband also got 2 skimpy burgers with stale lettuce on and barely any garnish.

I use to love McDonald's, but it is just as if the service is getting worse and worse by the day. And the quality of the food is shocking.
