Poor Management

So I know McDonald's charges extra for non-diet soft drinks so when I ordered 2 medium Big Mc Meals I specified I wanted Coke Zero. I was informed that the only sugar free soft drink available was Stoney, which I don't drink. My only option was to order a regluar soft drink. I then requested to be discounted for the regular drinks as I had no option but to order a non-diet soft drink. The cashier referred me to the manager who simply refused to listen to me and was quiet rude when he told me it's not his fault that they dont have what I wanted. I dedcied to leave it there as I was in the drive through and did not want to hold up the other customers.

I think it a matter of principle that if you don't have what the customer ordered but do have an alternative, that you don't charge the customer extra for the alternative.

I think the manager handled the situation very badly.
