Paying for food not received

I will NEVER buy food from McDonald’s on Columbine opposite Southgate mall ever again. And I sure as hell will discourage anyone else as well. I ordered food through their drive through service and was asked to wait on the side as my order wasn’t ready. Eventually the food came and I asked the waiter to wait so that I can make sure everything was there and he literally walked away saying everything is there. Only when I got home I realised I was missing an entire meal!!! Unfortunately I stay far and it was a bit late so I couldn’t even go back!! I’m so ****ed because he intentionally walked away telling me that everything is there. So my question is: how many customers experience the same thing? Pay for meals that they don’t get. Who gets the meal then?
