Pathetic Service Delivery

<p>We ordered via Mc Delivery last night, 30.10.2016, at approximately 20h10. Delivery was to take place in Gallo Manor, JHB and I understand that the Woodmead, JHB franchise received the order.</p> <p>We were told that the delivery would take between 35 and 45min. The expectation was therefore set that the meals would be delivered at approximately 21h00.</p> <p> </p> <p>Please bear in mind that the meals weren’t only for people of the house. We had a guest over who was told that we would be ordering in.</p> <p> </p> <p>21h00 comes and goes and not a hoot from a delivery guy or even a call to apologise for the delay. We were forced to follow up on delivery ourselves.</p> <p>We get put through to the Manager who then firstly lies and says that they tried calling to explain the delay and then gives another poor excuse about only having 1 driver. Our meals hadn’t even left their premises yet.</p> <p> </p> <p>We then get told that we need to wait another +/-45min for the food to be delivered. What *******. No urgency from the Manager’s side at all.</p> <p> </p> <p>When we asked to then cancel the order, the Manager says we shouldn’t as the meal will be there is 15min as the driver will be leaving now.</p> <p>21h15 comes and goes. Nothing. Gallo Manor is approximately 10 minutes maximum from the store so they didn’t really need to try to make it there in time.</p> <p> </p> <p>Our guest has left by this time with no food. We also didn’t make alternative arrangements for food as we foolishly trusted that the Manager would at least try to offer better service.</p> <p> </p> <p>About 22h30 the driver hoots outside and when he gets asked about the delay, he said that the Manager **** when telling us that he left just past 21h00. We refused the food and sent him back.</p> <p> </p> <p>After waiting about 2.5 hours for delivery, we still received no apology from the dishonest Manager. Pathetic service but then again, how can a company function correctly with a Manager who doesn’t know the meaning of service?</p> <p>We will never be ordering from this MacDonalds again.</p>
