****** of my money

I wanted to take my son out for a nice meal as we don't often get to eat out. I placed an order for two 2 cheese burger regular meals with cream soda. We always start by eating our chips, my 6 year old finished his chips before me and already started eating his burgers. As I open mine I realise that there is literally a patty with tomato sauce. I go and complain, I told him can I please have my burgers as they should be including garnish then he says oh sorry we don't have also don't have ice for our drinks. I asked him why was this not communicated while the order was being placed. No notes saying they don't have those items. They then refused to give me a refund because we had already started eating and my son none the wiser ate his whole burger.
