No drinks with meals

My family and I went to Mcdonald Friday evening for 2 nazo deals all to find there are no drinks and that you will need to pay an additional amount if you want powerade. Then the cashier says you can get water for free and that we are lucky there is still water. They should have substituted the drink with a can cool drink we bought the meal specifically for that purpose otherwise we could have gone to burger King. If the business does not have stock the consumer should not be inconvenienced
