my wallet got ****** in the store

I went into the branch on Sunday evening the 8th feb to get some mc flurry, at around 7 pm. There was only 1 other person in the store besides us that left as we arrived. I ordered and paid, then sat next to my wife and kids. I put my wallet down on the seat and left the store without picking up my wallet. I realised the next morning and went straight to the store to ask if anyone had picked it up. They told me that they had not found anything but they would check the video footage and get back to me. I then called head office and spoke to a security manager and he told me that he would make sure that they would look at the video and get back to me in 2 hours. He then called me and told me that there cameras at that store were run by an independent company , but they were looking at the video and they would let me know. Then 2 hours later the manager of the store called me and told me that because of the load shedding the cameras were not on, so they could not see who stole the wallet. They are trying to protect someone and now are lying to me and hoping I will go away. I can not believe that head office would allow such a thing to go on in there store and not try to assist me.
