Milky Foam Milkshakes
Have anyone noticed how terrible the McDonald's Milkshakes has been over the last few years...?
Well, I/we/our family have stopped purchasing any Shakes from McDonald's for the last 3 years now. For the simple reason (increased prices & less value) for your money.
I used to buy almost every day a medium Shake from a closeby McD's whilst working on the road... driving to clients. Used to love it (ice-cold, frozen pieces and full of flavor) and struggled to ship it up with the straws.
Now? all you ship on is milk (Nesquick) if I could say so. Lightweight & more milk foam in it, does not even fill it to the top anymore.
We all accept these changes as we are just used to it, it's ok... I really want it, so why complain? Why say something and then you just have to wait for another or fix the current one, just let it slide...over and over again.
For me? I had enough of Companies ripping people of their money... they want to get more expensive throughout the year (prices going up more than twice a year). We as the consumers just say it's fine, they not giving you any discount if you should ask anyways.
But your food value is less and you pay more.
My point is here, I had a complaint with the Promenade outside Restuarant when we did an online (Delivery) meal order as the kids wanted Milkskaes (extremely hot day).
On arrival the Shakes was cold, not that could either. So the kids had to wait on their meals with Shakes after the Delivery guy left. They got their Shakes and one, two, three ships went from their Shakes and the elder Shouted, is this milk or a Shake? Asked her why she asked that...she said it's like having Nesquick, just milk, no ice cream.
Further investigation in the Shake cup we discovered that the cup was more filled with Foam than ice cream Shake. Like it felt empty already like someone had half of the cup already but just looks full, but half-filled with vanilla milkshake and foam on top.
Contacted the store later that day, we complain about it and said we must make use of the App for any complaints. Received a Ref: number and was only a few days contacted regarding the issue.
The Branch Manager on Duty called me on the 15th Jan 2020, apologizing and making recommendations on the Shake and asked to come in when I'm around to replace the Shake with a bigger container (helpful but not for me as the kids live their mother)
Received a replacement Shake, guess what? still the same with more foam than ice cream. A large cup felt like a small cup.
McDonald's should go and try the Burger King's Milkshake and take some tips from them... Taste is far more better and ice cream 'sh when you battle to suck up the milkshake into your mouth and you can still drive home and still be ice cold and icy.
Please do me that favor, go and buy a Shake from Burger King and compare it with McD's. It will blow your mind with wow.
