To whom it may concern

On Sunday the 29th February 2022 at approximately 1:30pm i went into Mcdonalds Vincent to get some food for my family. Granted the store and drive through were busy. We opted to used the electronic order machine as this is a lot quicker and user friendly. We also paid through the machine (which if we hadn’t done i would have walked out). It printed a slip and this we took to stand in que at the counter. There were numerous other customers waiting with us. There was no one at the counter and i will add that during this entire episode not a single employee manned the front counter. So we waited for what seemed like 10 to 15 minutes (not sure). There were other customers with us also waiting. The staff would walk in and out of the kitchen and behind the counter yet would address no one. The mood was very relaxed. Eventually i stopped a lady and showed her our slip asking if anyone had received our order as we had heard nothing and did not even know if our food was being prepared. She did not greet or even address us in any way. She just turned around and shouted something to the kitchen in xhosa. She then just walked away and we never saw her again. It was at this point that i was becoming irratated. I could not believe i was being treated in this manner. After waiting a while longer we decided to get someones attention in the kitchen as no one was coming to the front. We called numerous times to a woman who at first ignored us. Eventually we caught her attention, she looked at us, said nothing and carried on working. At this point I was now so shocked I decided to talk to the manager. I asked a passing employee to call the manager. When she arrived she was very apologetic but provided no solution or explanation to the issue at hand. She did not introduce herself or even greet us. I told her that ive been in the retail industry for 16 years and i can understand a business gets busy but i have never never never been so disrespected by anyone in my life. I told her i did not want her food and just wanted my money back. Eventually my wife convinced me to take the food and we left. Disappointed Craig
