Mcdonalds Umhlanga- ****** in parking Lot for Cellphone- NOT SAFE FOR FAMILIES

At approximately 7pm 6/07/2023 I exited the Mcdonalds Umhlanga building located opposite the Shell garage. I had my seven year old in one hand and my other hand in a pocket with car keys and wallet. My wife was walking behind me. As I got outside the doors, A white polo stopped in front of me. A tall african gentleman exited this vehicle and ruffled my jacket. I held on to my seven old very tightly in light of the recent child kidnappings. As I moved backwards to avoid the guy, the gentleman jumped into the vehicle which sped off leaving the parking lot. I realized only that he had ****** my Iphone. I attempted to speak to the Manager who indicated that I cannot view camera footage without a case number. I attempted again to speak to the Store manager on receiving a case number. I was given all sorts of excuses that the Manager was not in. Eventually after much persuasion, the Manager indicated that I should return with a detective who will be allowed to view the footage but a copy will not be issued. This leaves to suspect that there are internal staff and well as Security working in the parking lot that are in cahoots with a syndicate robbing customers at this particular Mcdonalds. Seeing the lack of Interest by Management at Mcdonalds to help with footage and complete disregard for customers safety, I would highly recommend that General public avoid this particular franchise completely as its high risk for familys and very unsafe. I will never return to this type of unsafe environment with my family again. I urge everyome to purchase their Mcdonalds elsewhere if you want to be safe and sound.
