McDonald's Selby

19 November 22 went to McDonald's in Selby, placed an order on the self service machines at 14:45:28 and went to the bathroom. Decided to go to the counter immediately after to check if it's being prepared or if it's out. Only to find a lot of people standing by the counter waiting for order as the orders placed on the self service machines are not being prepared they have to take your receipt and check it and then prepare your order. Later they printed the receipt and prepared the orders, it was so chaotic.

They should have had one of the staff by the door or on the machines to advise customers to order straight from the tills. A lady came to collect my receipt to prepared my order, just as I had hope that I will get it soon, 15minutes later still nothing. I had to remind her as she took my receipt and kept coming to the front with other peoples order but not mine. Only got my order at 15:38, the sad thing is that while waiting you keep hearing the staff complaining about how tired they are, another Indian guy asked one later what's going on , she rep**** in Zulu saying " hey dont ask me anything". I was in disbelief and it's a pity that most of the staff don't wear name tags.

After eating I asked for water from one of the staff she made me wait till she finished clearing and cleaning the tables, gave her my empty container she took it and went a good +- 8minutes, I even thought she went to throw away the garbage that why she took so long.

The service was terrible and no one communicated the reasons and apologized for the inconvenience.

The thought of waiting and thinking I still have to drive to pretoria, my daughter was so annoyed saying we should have went to the McDonald's closer to home.
