McDonald's Potchefstroom

I was at McDonald’s Potchefstroom Drive-Thru today. There were various hawkers and beggars disturbing customers while waiting in the drive-thru que.

I stopped counting at 5 hawkers trying to sell me fruit, wallets and belts and 2 beggars asking for money.

I am a charitable person and try to give what I can to people in need but today’s experience at McDonalds Potchefstroom was simply unpleasant, being bombarded by the hawkers and beggars.

A few months ago I was also at McDonald’s Potchefstroom. While in the drive-thru I opened my window to place my order. As I finished placing my order, a hawker knocked on my right hand side back seat window. When I looked to the back, another hawker leaned into my window. I realised it soon enough and shut my window just in time. I’m not sure if the person wanted to grab my wallet/phone or what he wanted to do.

Today’s experience was just once more very unpleasant and made me feel unsafe.
