McDonald's is a huge has-been in South Africa

The one thing that you can always depend on in this country is either getting your order wrong, meeting an unfriendly staff member, or waiting too long for sh*t food at Mcdonald's. It is amazing how you always can count on coming across one or more of these when you visit.

The staff are severely undertrained and just do not care, too. You can tell! They must be paid way too little because they put as much effort into their work as Mcdonald's does their franchising in this country.
