McDonalds - Cornubia Mall

McDonalds Cornubia Mall - On 5 July I popped into McDonalds, Cornubia Mall after work for 2 junior cheeseburgers and two small chips for my husband and I. After two bites of the burger we realised there were no burger patties. All we got were cheese and gherkins. My husband refused to eat his and ate the chips only. To take a photo seemed silly as if i was trying to "pull a fast one" I would have taken the patties off and then taken the photo. Armed with my till slip and the order no. I went the next day to complain. Gone are the days of the customer is always right. I left feeling that I was the one at fault - the manager told me I should have taken a photo so he could see if the patty had been on the buns prior. I was also asked why I did not bring them back. Firstly it was inconvenient with a disabled husband at home and petrol costs. It is not the issue of money spent on something you were expecting and didn't get but the issue of making a customer feel uncomfortable in bringing to the store's attention an error they had made. There was no positive solution benefiting both parties put forward and although the manager did apologise I must admit I felt accused. Very disappointed as there certainly appears to be no customer care in this store.
