McDonalds Atteridgeville Terrible Experience

I am writing this review with grave disappointment as a loyal Mcdonald customer. I have had several incidents where I have never been satisfied with the level of service and products received from the Mcdonalds at Nkomo Village in Atteridgeville Pretoria. Being a loyal patron, I was of the view that they would improve over time however it has been downhill for several months.

27 March 2022 at around 22;44 was the most atrocious experience I have had to date, in an attempt to order a meal at Mcdonalds Nkomo Village Atteridgeville , Pretoria I was told that only a Mac Chicken would be served to me, but I was behind a group of celebrities which had a meal of their choice. As I rebuked the choice offered to me, the sales people and manager immediately closed the tills and explicitly refused to serve me which i have videos to prove. A certain Given was even elated with pride to close the order on me which he emphatically said" we will not serve him" lock the window. Essentially I was given a take it or leave it option.

They used foul language to deny me an opportunity to order and continued to speak ill of me. A celebrity whom I fondly know was served with sheer distinction according to his heart desires and to top it all off was parked in the opposite direction from me and not even on the row of the order system, contravening the ordering process.. They literally went to the window and were served and received their order.

It was so demeaning and distasteful to be treated in that manner on numerous occasions where I chose not lodge a complaint. I felt disrespected, even more so, the staff was condescending and made remarks of how they were not scared of complaints and how accustomed they have been to complaints.

The conduct of the staff was utterly callous, which questions the credibility of the brand. As black people we are treated inferior especially in a township setting. We are meant to feel like we do not contribute to the bottom line of the business which is utterly disgusting. The staff at McDondalds Nkomo Village continue to disregard us as a collective which for me leaves me wondering what exactly is being cascaded down from a value principle.

This is shameful that as an international brand we are subjected to such nonsense and insult. Nkomo Village is disgusting and this has been an ongoing culture from their leadership to their overall staff.
