McDonald's threatens customer

<p>I arrived at McDonald's Great North Sunday afternoon at 13:30. I received wonderful service throughout the drive-thru, until I arrived at the pick-up window. I placed an order including 8 mini chicken burgers. They asked me to wait in the parking lot. I repeatedly told the staff that if I wanted to park, I would've. The manager came out after about 1min and gave the people behind us their food. I think it was nice of me to move and then reverse back because the people behind me weren't the problem. So I repeated this exercise for 5 cars. Still in quite a good mood I asked if they were nearly done, the manager abruptly said no. I was fine with waiting as I understood it was an abnormal order. After waiting 10 minutes (Which is crazy if you think about it! In any other country at their McD's you don't wait longer than 5min, then the food would've been for free. Where again, I understand because after all ... What more can you expect from SA?) I finally received my food, said thank you and was prepared to leave without making a scene. THEN, the manager (Freddy) thought he could give me advice for my next McD's visit (that won't be anytime soon). He said that if I have a big order, next time I should go inside. I don't know if I am wrong but I have never ever seen a sign outside by the drive-thru saying 'Small orders only.' . I said that I was in a hurry that's why I didn't go inside. Freddy then said that they do not prepare for orders like this. So I asked why is it my problem if you aren't prepared? FREDDY THEN THREATENED me, he said that if I come again he will make sure that the food will either be dirty or old food. He ensured me that this really happens as he has been working there for a long while now. Since when is that 'customer service'? This brings me to my following question. Was the food dirty or old? This was honestly a disheartening experience. If the roles were reversed the excuse obviously would've been 'YOU ARE ******'. What is the excuse now?</p>
