McDonald's cancels orders without notifying customers

I had placed an order for my entire office on the on the 22/06/2017 at 10:48am for 3 McDonald's Big Mac Medium Meals. I received my order confirmation on email stating that the expected delivery time was 11:20am - 11:35am. I had a conference meeting at 12pm and suspected that the order was running late, so I advised my collegue to attend to the delivery once it arrives. I had completed my conference meeting at 1pm only to be notified by my collegue that McDonald's had not yet delivered our meals. I was outraged as it had been more than an hour after the expected time. So I contacted the McDelivery SA contact number on ********** 623, only to be told by an employee by the name of Hilda, that my order had been cancelled as it went to the wrong McDonald's franchise (McDonald's Lyndhurst instead of McDonald's Rosebank as I am based in Houghton Estate.) Hilda then advised me that she is transferring the order to the Rosebank branch and will ask them to delivery the meals as soon as possible. After she spoke to the branch, she then phoned me back only to advise me that the Rosebank branch is not doing orders the entire day due to a water leak. Therefore this meant that McDonald's could not assist me to deliver this meal at all as one of their branches had a 'water leak'! That to me is ridiculous! I refuse to believe that there is no other branch that can assist in a delivery to Houghton Estate as Rosebank branch is 'out of order'! To me it just means that McDonald's is willing to turn away business and does not care about customer service whatsoever. Firstly, why couldn't McDonalds notify my that the order is cancelled? Are they so busy that they don't need to keep in touch with their customers? My office orders McDonald's at least once a week, and I mean the entire office. This is not the first time McDonald's has given such pathetic service. I don't think I would consider order McDonald's ever again for my office, i'm sure the Burger King up the road from us would give us better service!!!

It's amazing, it has been 4 days and still no sign of McDonald's. I guess they truly don't care about customer service.
