McDonald's Atterbury Value Mart makes good

<p>I visited the McDonalds this afternoon and used the Drive Through in pouring rain. I ordered 2 quarter pounder with cheese meals and a grand ranch chicken burger meal. Upon reaching home I unpacked the food to find that in stead of two quarter pounders, I found two veggie burger boxes staring me in the face. With crazy traffic on a Friday afternoon, made worse by a torrential down pour and Black Friday sales everywhere, I was fuming. I drove back to the McDonalds at Atterbury Value Mar to find the restaurant packed with customers. I asked for the Manager and in the office, away from customer eyes I let rip about the poor service and the effort of having to come back. The Manager patiently heard me out and then enquired about what I had ordered . I told her Quarter Pounders and showed her the Veggie burgers. She opened the boxes and inside were Quarter Pounders, just as I had ordered. She apologized and indicated that the lady that handed me my order should have told me that they are using Veggie Burger boxes as they have had a very busy day and have run out of Quarter Pounder boxes. At that point I felt like the complete idiot I am for not checking what was inside the box. She then completely surprised me by replacing our meals with warm, fresh meals. Funny how this gesture has forever changed the way I will henceforth engage with service staff in case where I am not satisfied. It will always be with respect and humility. Thanks for going the extra mile, even when I was basically at fault! </p>
