Mc Donald’s Vangate mall is the worse!!!

Omgaard ! Just had the worst experience at McDonalds Vangate mall on Friday evening. After calmly coming into the store and speaking to the cashier and manager about my food vouchers that was given from Absa their customer service was just absolutely pathetic to say the least. The manager, Aiden was very short tempered and treated me like dirt.

When I wanted to use the vouchers to pay for my food and use my card to pay the extra amount the manager rudely told me that I can’t use my card and the vouchers and I must have cash which I understood and since there were no access to atms because the mall was closed we had to pay for the next customers meal so we could get the cash to pay for our meal. Once this process was finished we were ready to order, get our meal and leave but sadly this was not the case. The manager had disappeared and the cashier had no idea what she was doing and another staff member tried to play as acting manager but she herself was confused.

When the manager eventually came but after calling her several times she put in the voucher and both declined and I told her that I’ve been here before and the same problem happened the last time so I emailed Absa and they told me that they have contact the store on how to use the vouchers correct and I insisted on showing the manager the email so she could be aware of what I was speaking about but she didn’t want to see it! She pushed my phone one side and shouted at me with a restaurant full of people that she has been doing this for years and nothing I say will make a difference and if I do not pay the full amount with cash I won’t be getting anything and just walks away!!!! I felt so embarrassed and upset why would anyone treat their customers like dirt like this!!!!

I insisted on getting an area managers contact details or someone higher than the manager but none of the staff members wanted to assist me and with this the manager was called again but she refused to come out from the back area and to top off everything the food we got was EXTREMELY cold.

Is this really have Mc Donald’s treat their customers? Like you guys are owing us a favor?

I am utterly disgusted as a loyal customer and I deeply have been offended and very much put off. I will never ever step foot inside this place again!!! Worst service with the worst manager ever! I hope Aiden or whatever the managers name is gets what she deserves and that this incident is not over looked.
