Incomplete order and indifferent attitude at MacDonalds Bluff branch in KZN

I purchased 2 double quarter meals from Macdonalds Bluff on Friday, 4 September 2020 at around 17:35. Since it was my wife's birthday and she loves this meal but with extra spicy sauce, we ordered 4 extra spicy sauces. However, when we arrived home, we found that there was no sauce at all. I called the manager on duty at the time asking if he could deliver the sauce, since it was the fault of MacDonalds; he said that they don't deliver in our area and wanted us to come back to fetch the sauce. I explained that I was in a rush to get home (to prepare for a family birthday party) and didn't have the time nor should I now fit the fuel bill for another return trip to the store but he insisted that they don't deliver and I should come fetch the sauce the next time we visited. I also explained that the burgers were now useless without the sauce, which was the favorite ingredient, and fetching it next time would not correct our current situation but he repeated that I must fetch the sauce the next time we came to the store. Eventually he asked for my telephone number and promised to call back in a short while. I still have not heard from him since.

My issue is that the money spent was in vain since we could not enjoy the meal, which was dry without our favorite sauce. Also, seeing that it was my wife's birthday, needless to say that supper was ruined... Forgetting the money spent for the spicy sauce we never received, I would like to know how MacDonalds Bluff will compensate us for their mistake.
