I went to McDonald's Crown Mines (Restaurant # ********** to go have a quick lunch, little did I know that it'd be the worst day of my life. My wallet was ****** from the table I was sitting at and wasn't aware of it as there too many people causing commotion! I only realised my wallet was gone when I wanted to put change inside.
I then went to Steven to report the matter as I wanted assistance with checking the camera footage, I taken from pillar to post - he said the person that knows how to access the camera is Joseph (Store Manager) and his not around but he'll call him. Went to the back office came back and said he's stepping out to go buy airtime, I offered him my phone! Called Joseph who said he has knocked off I must come back tomorrow and dropped the call, called again to beg him to help us he then said we must go open a case at the nearest Police Station and come back tomorrow he'll be available in the store. I explain to him that we cannot open the case when we aren't sure of the person that took the wallet, wether it's their staff or customers - when writing giving a statement to the Police you must provide them with facts and not guessing game because they'll say you're playing with SAPS resources he couldn't assist. Called the store owner on ********** explained everything he them said he'll speak to Joseph and get back to me, which he did and said advised that in that whole store there is no one who can use the camera footage PC - ONLY Joseph knows. I disagreed and said Steven said he knows its just that he doesn't have the password plus there's a lady wearing a jersey writen MANAGER named Phindi, he them said I must ask Phindi to call Joseph he'll take her through the system. Instead of Phindi doing what the store owner said she went and packed fries and burgers instead.
The staff at that restaurant were not bothered at all, the customer clearly doesn't come first to them. I lost my belongings in their restaurant the least they can do is to assist with the camera footage then I would have taken a picture and asked around - someone somewhere out there knows the culprit. 'Til now there's no assistance that was given to me in that restaurant, surely I was supposed to act like a hooligan shout and scream for them to see that I really really need that footage.
I'll never ever refer anyone to that restaurant as they care more about the money we spend there than our well being. In my wallet there was my identity book, drivers licence, my mother's bank card, my pills, my cards and an amount of R3000 that I was going to use to pay up some debts. This is really inconveniencing - I've never seen such *********** people in my life. I regret ever going there to spend my money, if only I knew things would turn out that way.
