Harassment outside the McDonald's Hillcrest branch

I was at McDonald's in Hillcrest this morning with my mom and we received excellent service as always

As we were leaving I was taking pictures of the beautiful flowers they have outside when a lovely lady and her son came up to tell me that those plants are very easy to grow and take care of. The lady then proceeded to break a twig with some leaves on it, gave it to me and told me to go plant it. She told me to take a twig from the red plant as she left, but I just picked up a loose leaf because I didn't want to break the plant.

As I walked to the car with my mom, there was a driver in another car who started hooting at us like crazy. I didn't realise he was hooting at us until he physically approached the car and started yelling at our window. My mom rolled down the window and asked what's wrong, to which he rep**** "who gave you permission to break the plants??". I told him that the lady had broken the piece and given it to me and that I literally just picked up a leaf. He kept yelling and saying that there was no one else there and that I was "taking the plants", even though the kind lady was very clearly the one who gave the twig to me AND literally got into the car that was parked NEXT to his car across the lot. He started coming closer to our car so we pulled up the window and started to leave. As we were leaving he pulled out his phone and started recording/taking pictures of our car.

I am absolutely disgusted at this man's behaviour. All I did was take pictures and pick up a literal leaf. I was not the one who broke a twig off of the plant, and the lady who did it most definitely didn't mean any harm, she was just excited to show me that I can grow pretty plants myself.

I'm not sure if anything can be done about this, but if the staff or management of the Hillcrest McDonald's branch does see this, please check your security cameras and find this man so he doesn't harass any of your other customers. I'm sorry that the lady gave me a twig and that I took a leaf from the ground outside your restaurant, it won't happen again.
