Glass of water

On Saturday the 24 Feb 2015 I stopped by to buy food at McDonalds in Blackheath around 2pm. I was with my 2 children & my husband. Since we were on the road I purchased food for all of us to the amount of about R90. My 3year old daughter was thirsty I then asked for a glass of water to which the cashier referred my request to the manager who bluntly & boldly told me that I have to pay for a mere glass of water even if I have purchased food from there I would still need to pay. I pleaded with him because at that point my daughter was crying as she really needed water. The manager could care less he unapologetically stood his ground that I must pay for a glass of water. Is this how McDonalds South Africa treats its customers? No really a child's cry for a lousy glass of water doesn't even move him? I am so disgusted and disturbed to know that we have such restuarants. Can a glass of water really make you lose your dignity? Where's ubuntu? I'm still shocked for days. Can McDonalds really be this cruel? My son was so worried about her sister that he opted to get water from the rest room just so that her little sister can drink something to quench the thirst. Shame on you manager
