Faulty Card machine

Saturday morning 10am at the drive thru my card was swiped twice and declined both times but no slip was given to me. I went to draw cash and went inside and reordered. When I looked at my online bank statement I saw the 2 amounts swiped for was in fact debited from my account. My banks call centre advised me to contact McDonald's which I did. The manager refuses to assist me and expects me to come see him in office hours which I cannot do as I have a job.
