Extremely bad service at McDonald's

My friend and I went out last night and went to McDonald's afterwards. It was just after 2:00am so obviously we went to the drive through.

We ordered the double cheese burger meal with coke. My friend was driving and I was paying so I just gave her my card, she put my pin in and paid. I did watch as she put the pin in to see if she put it in correctly. My friend even asked me if I wanted the slip and I said it's not necessary and she put it in her cars' side-door.

Went on to the pick up and the guy there said that we didn't pay. We told him we did and he again said we didn't pay. We said "Yes we did!" and we gave him the slip. Another guy came (in a different colored shirt), I think he was the manager, looked at the slip and said that it's not our slip. We said again that it was our slip. And he said "No it's not". We told him that we JUST gave him the slip out of our car door. My friend took the slip and showed him the time on it and the current time. The guy in the black shirt then said that this was for someone else and the total was something in the R300. I asked him "Is that what she swiped???". And he said no the lady at the paying till made a mistake.

At that stage we didn't understand because she gave us the slip back after the transaction went through. The guy in the black shirt then, very arrogantly, and almost screaming at us, asked "Then show me the sms! ". I told him that my phone was off. But I took my friends phone and logged into ABSA on her phone and then it didn't look like it went through. So then the guy said we should just go around and pay.

We went and climbed out, saw other cars in the queue, and knocked on the door. The one guy that we could see was ignoring us and then we banged on the door. He then just showed us with his hands that they are closed inside and looked ahead again. I then banged on the door again and the guy in the black shirt came and also showed us that they were closed. I then showed him that he should come to us. He then came and unlocked the door and we told him we want to pay. And he said "No you cannot pay inside, no one can help you here, you should go back in the queue and pay there". We proceeded to tell him that there is no way that we are going back in the queue and paying, we did that already! He then said "There's no cars in the queue, you have to go back there" we then said "We JUST saw a queue as we were driving up and were not going back there!". And he just shrugged his shoulders and said "Well that's where you have to pay. We cannot help you inside". We just told him "It's fine, we'll just not buy from you then".

This was ABSOLUTELY 100% their fault. And we were treated like **** because of something they did wrong. I don't understand how they think that what they did and how they handled the situation was acceptable???
