Disgusting service at McDonald’s

I had the most horrible experience at Mc Donald’s Karenpark crossing in the north of Pretoria. We were served in uncovered cups and as a result, my son spilled his coldrink before he could even take a sip. I then sent my daughter to go and tell one of the employees of the spillage and no one bothered to come and mop it up. Our table is right near to the toilets, and one of the employees even stepped over the spillage on his way to the toilets completely unbothered of the hazard it posed. On my wat out I asked to speak to the manager to raise my dissatisfaction and to my surprise she blamed it on me that I was supposed to approach another employee and make them aware of the spillage! Firstly I am not an employee of McDonald’s and secondly I was just being courteous by asking my daughter to raise the matter in the first place. She then proceeded to tell me that being served coldrink with no cup covers is now their new procedure and if I want a cover I should ask for one. I am yet to confirm this information as it sounds untrue to me. The manager who said her name is Thumeka Masilela (I cannot confirm this as she had no name badge on to identify herself) failed to take responsibility as the store but instead made it my fault that I did not do enough in reporting the matter. In all McDonald’s stores there’s always a person on the floor who tends to the cleanliness of the store, it’s surprising why this particular store does not have such a person and it becomes my responsibility to report spillages.
