Disgusting and Inhumane Service!

I’m writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I witnessed at the McDonald's at Protea Glen(Mall, Protea Blvd, Protea Glen, Soweto, 1819) today.

While I was sitting and working on my laptop, a mother and her young daughter, who had clearly just come from school, came in and sat near me. The child accidentally spilt her cold drink while trying to sit down. What shocked me was the store manager and assistant's complete lack of empathy. They refused to replace the drink, leaving the child to eat her Happy Meal without anything to drink.

She was just a little girl. Mistakes happen, especially with kids. The situation called for a bit of compassion, but instead it was met with rigid, cold service.

This kind of treatment is unacceptable and frankly disturbing. A small gesture, replacing a spilt drink, would have cost the store almost nothing but would have meant a great deal to a child. Instead, this experience left a sour impression on everyone who saw it.

I urge you to take this feedback seriously and reconsider how your staff are trained to handle such moments. Customer service should include empathy, especially when it comes to children.
