Disgusting!!!!

Where to begin?! I have never in my whole life been treated like this, and quite frankly after this incident will spread the word far and wide to NEVER SUPPORT THIS STORE!!!! We live in Schoemanskloof, a good 40 minute drive to Nelspruit. I chose McDonald’s at the Grove Shopping Centre specifically because they have an area for children to play, and thought that this would be ideal because the kids could get out of the house without being exposed to the cold. The play area WAS EMPTY: there was a lady doing paperwork, using ALL 3 the tables in the play area. I had initially assumed that this lady was not an employee because she didn’t move when I put the baby down to play, as I wanted to place an order and was struggling to do so with my hands full. My kids’ older cousins are visiting and I asked them to stay and play with my three children whilst I placed and paid for the order. When I got back, she was still in the exact same space. I moved our things to a table outside of the play area, as I could see this lady( who I now know to be an employee ) was not planning on being accommodating and moving to another space so the children could play. Whilst I waited at the table for the order, my son and the smaller cousin went to play (still the only children!). By this time the lady was joined by another lady, who said she was the manager. The next moment she had chased my nephew out saying he was too big to play. I approached the lady and asked what the problem was, to which she rep**** that my nephew was too big too play. I rep**** with, but he is helping to watch my kids?. To which she rep****, no he is not. He is playing. During the whole time, our food still hadn’t arrived and the lady who was apparently the manager was by this stage refusing to even let my son play! I was by this time so upset I asked to lay a complaint, and to speak to her manager, to which she rep**** she is the manager. I also asked for my money back as I don’t think my support is appreciated, and quite frankly I’d rather go and spend my money somewhere where my kids are welcome!!!! The lady who was doing the paperwork gave me a refund( R0.80 too much). I took my kids to the car, put them in the car and realised I didn’t have either ladies’ names to lay a complaint. I went back into the restaurant with my cellphone on record. Both ladies were still in the play area, and were ignoring me straight out when I asked for their names. The one who claims to be a manager grabbed a blanket and covered her face, whilst the other covered her face with her hands. NOT ONE OF THESE TWO WORE A NAME BADGE!!!!!! So how am I supposed to know who I am dealing with, if you don’t ( after repeatedly asking ) tell me who I am dealing with so that I can actually lay a complaint??? The lady with the blanket got up, and said she would fetch her name badge, to which I rep**** I’d follow her to get it. As we started walking the other lady started filming me, and as we neared the counter the lady with the blanket told the staff to NOT SPEAK TO ME, TURN THEIR NAME BADGES AROUND, AND PRESS THE PANIC BUTTON?! I stood there for almost half an hour asking for the name of the manager as she never reappeared and all the whole being filmed by the other lady. I also approached the other lady, and whilst asking for her name loudly said MY OWN NAME so she could have it on record. At one stage I fetched the security guard out side and asked him to please go inside because apparently I was such a threat standing at the counter asking for the managers name that she wanted the panic button pushed. He asked one of the lady’s what the problem was, to which there was a reply I couldn’t catch, but ended with him saying they will help you just now. There was not one point where the restaurant was so busy that I could not be helped. I was ghosted by EVERY LAST EMPLOYEE, even though I repeatedly asked for the managers name!!!! Just before I eventually decided to leave I felt I was going to burst into tears by this atrocious behaviour! I honestly thought that McDonald’s stood for more than this. I would also like to reiterate that I do have the videos and recordings for you to see, and I’m sure that should you go and view the camera footage you will see the entire incident.
