Complaint Regarding Poor Service at McDonald's Birch Acres Mall – Early Morning of April 25th

I would like to raise a concern regarding the service my colleagues and I received at the McDonald’s located at Birch Acres Mall in Tembisa during the early hours of Friday, April 25th, 2025, at approximately 02:45 AM.

We are police officers working the night shift and stopped by the drive-thru to get some food. Upon attempting to place our order, we were informed rather abruptly that fries were unavailable and only burgers could be ordered. When I inquired why a 24-hour establishment could not provide the full menu after midnight, the cashier responded in a very rude and dismissive manner, stating that "24 hours doesn't mean they have to have what we are looking for."

When I asked for the cashier's name, he falsely identified himself as "Thabang." However, when I approached his colleague to report the behavior, the staff member informed me that there was no one named Thabang working there.

Due to this unprofessional behavior and the inability to order what we needed, we left without placing an order.

This experience was disappointing and frustrating, especially considering the time and the nature of our work. I hope this matter will be investigated and addressed accordingly, as it reflects poorly on the brand and its commitment to customer service.
