I and my wife went to McDonald's driving in separate cars. I parked a bakie at McDonald's parking and immediately went to a BMW which was behind me driven by my wife so that we can enter drive thru to buy ice cream. We bought ice cream and went to park next to the bakie and decided to chat whilst eating our ice cream. To our surprise when we wanted to leave i went out of the BMW and go to the bakie in order to drive home and discovered that it has been clamped. We could n't see when the security clamp the tyre as the bakie is having high volume canopy. We went inside to find out who clamped it so that we can clarify that we came there to buy ice cream not just to park. Unfortunately the security who clamped it could n't listen and told us to pay R200. We had an argument trying to explain to him but he could n't listen. We escalated the matter to management and they could n't assist us and told us that they don't interfere with what happen outside, but we have to pay the security. Initially they told us that they will check the cameras but we did not get any feedback. It is shocking that McDonald's is now trying to ripoff poor people who have come to buy from their shop.
