Claimed that customers cannot hold or cover the Payment device when paying. McDonalds Pelican Park
@McDonald's Pelican Park. I was at the drive thru at McDonald's pelican Park. After placing my order and proceeding to the payment window, the assistance held the SpeedPoint device in her hand and insisted that it is McDonald's policy to not hand the Payment device to the customer to enter their PIN. When I reach out to hold the device, she insisted that I am not allowed to take it. Her response was what can she do with my PIN. When I asked for the manager, she said, it's fine. Being in the financial industry for many years, I know the importance of not covering you PIN when entering. I would like Mcdonalds to publish this policy which the staff member claims is in place and where the customers cannot hold the device in their hands when entering the PIN. Before reporting the matter as violation of privacy, and creating improper policies, I would like the policy to be made public, if not, or if no policy is in place, I would need the staff member held accountable. No response would result in a huge social media post.
