Being Questioned by Waitress at McDonalds

So, we're at McDonalds at Carlton Centre and we are met with questions on why we are there, by one of the waitresses. We tell her that we haven't ordered just yet, as we are waiting for someone. But she tells us that she will give us 5 minutes to order, otherwise we cannot be in the premises. In her words we are using their WiFi (which we weren't), and electricity. So we are forced to order when our guest hasn't even arrived. We could have chosen to be at any other restaurant, but we chose McDonalds as central, safe, reasonable and friendly. As customers, we want to be able to go out, and enjoy our stay at a restaurant. This attitude was really uncalled for and made us very uncomfortable. Guess we can't make everyday a McDonalds day?
