Bad Attitude and Delayed Service following Repremand

Received the worst service from McDonald's Fauna Park on Thabo Mbeki in Polokwane. The cashier comment in a vernacular language that is not my medium of instruction that children aren't allowed on the counters and when I asked since when as I have many times put my child on the counter in order to access my handbag etc while making an order and no one has said anything he repeatedly, in a rude way speaking the vernacular language, said children aren't allowed on the counter. All this happened while the manager was in sight. When I asked to speak to the manager he pointed at him and the manager claimed that he did not know what was going on even though he was a meter away from the scene. I have been to this McDonald's before several times and this was the second and most hurtful bad encounter with the staff as my child was being picked at for something I honestly feel they could fix later when we were gone. First aim of any service provider or supplier is to please the client. If it truly were for hygiene purposes why did he not just make use of the readily available surface sanitizer after I had ordered to clean the counter as should regularly whether a customer's child sat there or not for true HYGIENE purposes. I am very disappointed as this is my hometown where I grew up and could never expect to receive such horrible service when it is a franchise which prides itself in that they are family friendly.
