APPALLING SERVICE
Arrived at Mc Donalds Plumstead on 1 January 2020 45 minutes before they closed to order 4 Mc Flurries. Stood in the drive-through for approx 30 min. After waiting for so long, we decided to park inside the premises (in Mc Donalds' parking bays) and go inside. We were told that the front door was closed and no longer accepting walk-ins. At the same time, the security guard was turning customers away from the entrance to the parking lot. Given that we were still inside Mc Donalds premises, we rejoined the drive-in queque. The security guard told us that he decided that the car infront of us was the last car and they would not be serving us. We explained to him that we had been infront of all those cars and that we had been inside the premises for the last 45 min waiting to be served well before he started turning customers away from the entrance. I even asked him to check their cameras. He ignored me and to further antagonise me, he proceeded to place the bin infront of my car. I removed the bin and drove forward towards the first window to place my order. The security guard (a Mc Donalds employee) then proceeded to tell the staff member taking drive through orders not to serve us because he decided that the car infront of us was the last car. I tried to explain the situation to that particular staff member who then refused to assist me and merely reiterated that she could not help me because the last customer had already been served (according to the security guard). I demanded to speak to the manager and I was instructed to go to window 2. I had to repeat my situation twice before the manager finally understood what I was saying and agreed to serve us. This is absolute appalling service. In fact it took munch longer for me to constantly repeat my situation than it took them to serve me. Absolutely disgusted. I sincerely hope the staff are provided with a refresher course on "customer service".
