McDonalds Springfield Durban....incorrect Burger patty

Purchased a Big Tasty Chicken Burger on our way home after a race on the 8th August 2024. Upon getting home, we found that the burger was a Beef patty. Called the store and they wanted me to bring the burger back to change it. I informed the manager that since it was their fault, they should have it delivered, only to be told that they don't do deliveries and I could bring the burger back at another time. My child had to order another burger via Uber eats as we don't consume Beef. 2 days later I took the burger back and asked my money back. The cashier called the RM only to be told that they can't refund me. I didn't require another burger, just my money back as it cost me to buy another burger when they messed up my order. Clearly their customer service is appalling, its not the first time that the Springfield Durban branch has messed up our order. They should have a sign to inform customers to check the orders and the patty inside the burgers as they have *********** staff who can't read an order.

I left the store without a refund, just an apology of "I understand" when they clearly don't.
