Mcafee renewal ****

I bought a Lenovo laptop a few years ago which had Mcafee antivirus installed. I then paid about $50 for a subscription. Last year I noticed $179 had been charged on my credit card for an “auto renewal” which I never asked for or intentionally activated such an option. On their website, Mcafee promises to refund unwanted auto renewal payments within 60 days of the charge. This is a lie because it is impossible: emails are responded to with a form message that says “I have sent you a personal message…” (nothing comes), and none of the phone numbers work. Sure, you can then turn off auto renewal (how come it was on in the first place?) but too late to get any money back. Unbelievable that this established business is running such a ****.
