Beware of McAfee Auto Renewal

In September 2014 I purchased a McAfee annual anti-virus subscription online for R274.50. Since then, my laptop crashed and had to be replaced. On 16 August 2015, an auto renewal for R1054.47 was deducted from my bank account by McAfee. I immediately cancelled my card with FNB since I didn't authorise the transaction and suspected *****. McAfee's website clearly states that they will contact you prior to renewal to notify you of the impending deduction, which didn't happen. It turns out that McAfee has an auto renewal button and if you don't unclick it, they are \authorised"to deduct a renewal fee from your bank account - I can't recall this being mentioned before. Also"
