Unfair customer service
My vehicle was taken in by Mc Cannix Workshop for engine repairs. I paid R29 178.50 in total. The cam belt was replaced as well as some other engine parts. Soon after more engine work was needed because all lifters were not replaced the first time = extra R4 685. Then in May/June oil appeared in the radiator. Thy blamed overheating but there were no signs of it. On 18 June we were told to leave the workshop and the mechanic was told to put the engine in the car boot. On collection 19 June they refused to give us the old parts back. I lodged an official complaint with MIOSA on 22 June 2026 - Case #520044 - and it is still pending. I am seeking an independent assessment and a fair resolution.
