Worst place ever

Just come from spending the weekend there, accommodation was terrible ,broken toilets ,dirty showers ,broken beds, cracked windows , dirty linen management was terrible. I booked a self catering chalet and asked for pictures in advance and I was directed to the site which I’m sure hasn’t been updated in years because the place is not well looked after for the price you pay you would be expecting more decent accommodation,I will never return to the mbotyi river lodge ever again.When I expressed my concerns and was even willing to leave after seeing the place face to face the management didn’t seem to understand and was not willing to accommodate us better without having to pay extra or refund us as I suggested ,my kids were traumatised for two days , we had a dead snake laying on the grass over the balcony , we had an iguana keep coming into the chalet from openings in the roof , we ended up squashing into the one room without thatch because my kids were so traumatised. Check out time was communicated to be 10am but at half past 8 we already had a lady from housekeeping at the door asking what time we will be leaving which was very rude , the bush is not even trimmed down to make the place neater and views more appealing , overall experience at this place was terrible we also had other guests complaining while we were chatting to them , something really needs to be done.The place is so unhygienic and poorly managed the owners should really look into this
