Unprofessional, Poor quality of service with **** and ********** behavior.

MBD has handled my Woolworths credit card account for the past couple of years and I have cooperated together with them up until recently in making payments to the account. On the 14th of September 2019 I paid the account in full. I have sent them proof of payment. On the 29th of October 2019 MBD representatives contacted me for proof of payment and I sent it to them again, the gentlemen that I was dealing withs' name is Achmat Hoossen. I received an email back stating MBDs acknowledgement of the payment. On the 1st of November 2019 I received a phone call from another attorneys company Blake and Associates attempting to collect money from me for the same Woolworths account which i just paid in full to MBD. I told Blake and Associates that I paid the account in full and that they should contact MBD as MBD was Woolworths representatives regarding this account. I have never heard of this comopany Blake and Associates in the past 7 - 10 years in my dealings with MBD and now they claim that Woolworths has given the account over to them after I paid it in full. Behavior such as this is reckless and unprofessional. They jump at the opportunity to hold you liable for payments without collecting the correct information.I tried contacting Mr Achmath Hoossen on the telephone number on his email, but didn't get through and finally got through to a MBD agent Kareessa who can't do anything because my account is closed(as i payed it in full) and she can't transfer me to Mr Achmath and I can't get a paid up letter. This behavior from all three these companies has the attributes of a **** and *****. Woolworths gives the account to MBD, MBD receives payments and final paid up amount. Woolwoths then goes and gives the account to Blake and Associates and Blake and Associates wants to collect money from me for the account. Blake and Associates didn't even do the necessary investigation before taking on the account, because if they did, they would've found that MBD dealt with the account and received the full outstanding amount. Otherwise Woolworths didn't disclose all relevant information to Blake and Associates. How can these companies just go about dealing with clients like this?, is there no protection from this kind of thing. There should be a governing regulator that stands as mediator between the client and debt collection companies like this, and such a service should be offered when one take out credit.
