Thumb sucked Debt - Vodacom account

I have seen a similar complaint regarding a vodacom account. I have been contacted several times regarding my Vodacom account of which MBD reported to the credit bureau even though I had asked a detailed breakdown of the amount that is said to have been owned by me and me saying that I cannot acknowledge the debt handed over as the amount sounds too much for the type of account I had. I am just sent a statement with one amount that is said to be carried over or brought forward to MBD from Vodacom. I have contacted Vodacom legal and they maintain that MBD should have such information, I have responded to emails and calls but it seems like the amount I am said to owe is thumb sucked and now that amount is affecting my credit as someone from MBD reported this to spite me after they constantly tried to force me to make an arrangement and threatening to report my account over to the credit bureau (he did and can have this checked on record). Should I get lawyers to assist me with this or MBD will finally attend to me?
