SHOCKING SERVICE FROM MBD CONTINUES
Melissa J responded to my review on Hello Peter via email on 10-09-2026. I responded to that email on September 11, 2026, at 8:37 a.m. and have received no communication to date. See content below.... Good day Melissa
Thank you for your response to my HelloPeter complaint and for acknowledging the concerns I raised.
I appreciate ABSA’s confirmation that my payments are being received regularly and that the repeated automated calls and SMS notifications advising me that my account was in arrears were unnecessary.
I also note your confirmation that my account will be placed on a special arrangement freeze and that communication relating to the payment arrangement will be limited provided that I continue to maintain the agreed arrangement.
However, there are still two important matters that require urgent attention.
1. ACCOUNT STATEMENT
Despite my previous requests, I have still not received a complete and accurate statement of my account.
Please provide an up-to-date statement clearly reflecting:
• All payments received from me; • The dates and amounts of those payments; • How each payment has been allocated to the account; • The current outstanding balance; and • The payment arrangement currently recorded on the account.
Your response specifically acknowledges that I am entitled to clear and accurate information regarding my account, including payments received and the outstanding balance.
2. INCORRECT CREDIT BUREAU INFORMATION – EXPERIAN
This matter is particularly concerning.
My ClearScore/Experian credit report is currently reflecting “Missed payments 2026” against MBD for April, May, June and July 2026.
I have attached screenshots showing these entries.
However, my bank transaction records clearly show payments of R3,000 to MBD All Client Trust on:
• 26 April 2026 – R3,000 • 25 May 2026 – R3,000 • 26 June 2026 – R3,000 • 30 July 2026 – R3,000 • 26 August 2026 – R3,000
These records appear to directly contradict the adverse “missed payment” information currently reflected on my credit profile.
Furthermore, ABSA has now confirmed in writing in response to my complaint that my payments are being received regularly.
My credit score has consequently decreased by approximately 10 points, despite my maintaining the agreed payment arrangement.
I therefore require ABSA to urgently investigate the information supp**** to the credit bureau in respect of my account.
If ABSA has reported any of the above months as missed payments, arrears or otherwise adversely reported the account, I request that the information be corrected immediately with Experian and any other credit bureau to which the incorrect information has been submitted.
Please do not simply advise me that the matter has been referred for investigation. I require written confirmation of:
What payment history ABSA has reported to the credit bureau for April, May, June and July 2026; Why these months have been reported as missed payments when ABSA confirms that my payments are being received regularly; Whether ABSA accepts that the information currently reflected on my credit profile is incorrect; The date on which ABSA submits the correction to Experian and any other affected credit bureau; and Written confirmation of the corrected payment history once the update has been submitted. I would also ask that ABSA ensure that no further adverse information is reported while I am complying with the agreed payment arrangement.
This is not merely a matter of inconvenience. Incorrect adverse credit information can negatively affect my credit standing and may have financial consequences for me.
I have retained the relevant payment records and screenshots of the adverse information currently reflected on my credit profile.
I therefore request that this matter be treated as urgent and that the necessary correction be made without delay.
Lastly, please confirm that my personal email address has been updated as my preferred contact method for all future correspondence.
I look forward to receiving the requested account statement and written confirmation regarding the correction of the credit bureau information.
Kind regards,
Daphne Doreen Maritz
