Prescibed Debt

MBD has been harassing me to pay a Capitec debt that has been dormant for years. They bought it knowing very well what the law says. "The National Credit Amendment Act, published 13 March 2015, prohibits the sale and collection of Prescribed Debt. Unless the debt collector or credit provider can prove that your debt is not prescribed, tell them to stop harassing you. It is advised that you also put this in writing, so that there is a record of it.If they persist, request the original loan agreement/contract, proof of default, the outstanding amount and interest accrued." Reviewer Update
Viwe Bokveldt from Capitec acknowledged via email that the debt was sold to MBD in June 2018. However, the credit bureau listing was made by Capitec Bank. Unfortunately MBD will not get a cent from me as they were aware of the law hence the credit bureau listing is not made by them. I have contacted Capitec to remove it.
