poor updating of records

i had owed a certain company money, and i was then taken to mbd for debt collection. i continued to pay via debit order until i changed jobs. i tried for months to update my details and no one did it. in the interim, the company i owe also debited the amount directly from me, and when i tried to update these details no one bothered to update them i have completed my debt with the company, and no longer owe them, however, i still receive notifications for payment even though this has been paid up.
