Outstanding Paid-Up Letter and Credit Bureau Clearance
To whom it may concern,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding the lack of transparency, communication and action concerning my Standard Bank credit card account.
I settled the outstanding balance on the credit card in October 2025. However, to date, I have not received the required paid-up letter, nor has the relevant information been updated with the credit bureau/ITC as expected.
It is unacceptable that, almost a year later, this matter remains unresolved. The failure to update my credit record is negatively affecting my ability to obtain further credit facilities, despite the account having been settled in full.
I request that this matter be urgently investigated and resolved, and that I be provided with:
A formal paid-up/settlement letter confirming that the account has been settled in full; and Written confirmation that the relevant credit bureau records have been updated accordingly. Given the length of time that has elapsed, I expect this matter to be treated with urgency. Should I not receive a satisfactory response and resolution, I will proceed with lodging a formal complaint with other entities responsible.
Good day
