Outstanding debt

After my divorce, my ex-husband left me with a lot of unpaid accounts. One of them was our Woolworths account and loan. I was without an income, place to stay and a job. My account was handed over to MBDCS. I made an arrangement to pay my outstanding debt every month with an amount that I can affort. I will eventually (after 30years of paying) pay my accounts in total. I received some extra money for house sitting and contact MBDCS to give me the outstanding amount of my Woolworths account. After several attempts and emails I just received a sms that I have to pay R1851. I paid it immediately. Now 4 days later I received another sms that their is still outstanding money on my Woolworths account, and if I don't pay it, it will be handed over to higher institutions. What now? Why didn't they informed me in the first place what the total outstanding amount was? The services from MBDCS is really bad. They do not respond on any messages, but are very quick to threatens you. With this kind of attitude I don't even going to bother to make any further payments. Why treat me like a ********, while I was prepared to pay off my debt?
