'non-existent' account settled - *****?
I was harassed endlessly by MBD until I made the set arrangement to pay off this credit card. I managed to pay it off in about 9 months, all interest and fees included. I received confirmation in August 2014 (email communication attached) that the judgement was in fact for card ***, as listed on my credit record as case number 115185/2010. MDB also confirmed at the same time that a cession letter will be provided upon settling of this account in full, and that the judgement will then be removed (see communication dated 4 August 2014 ). I made the final payment on this account in March 2015 (settlement letter attached dated 31 March 2015). On 20 April I had to follow up on this with MBD - the information I have is that 14 days is a reasonable time for a judgement to be removed. I was told that they will follow up with ABSA. On 29 April I had to follow up again because I still haven't received any feedback. I was informed on the 4th of May that ABSA has got no record of this credit card. So what have I been paying for? And how do I get it removed if this card and judgement doesn't exist on ABSA's records? Tebogo refuses to answer my emails.
