MBD. Why do they hide information requested?

My Standard Bank credit card account was sold by Standard Bank to MBD..I have contacted them by every means possible to get a statement of my account. I have been paying for 3 years. I would like a balance of my account, the interest rate they are charging and a contact number that actually listens to complaints. Initially I was phoned 4 times a month, sms'd weekly. I keep hearing "we will request that your statement is drawn" but no luck.
