MBD / Vodacom
From: Heidi Marais Sent: 24 November 2020 10:35 AM To: Hellopeter Cc: Heidi Marais Subject: FW: We'd love your feedback Hi Hellopeter
Today I am really at whit's end!! I just don't know where to go anymore. More than 2 weeks ago I sent you an email because I did not know who to contact about Vodacom/MBD anymore. Within +-30mins the "claims officer" of MBD rep**** back that they will investigate. Till this day of today, NOBODY but NOBODY has come back to me. NO feedback whatsoever, NOTHING. On the 14th Nov I phoned again. Spoke to a Bongi who was the most helpful to date. But because of the day being Sat, she could not do much. But what she could at least tell me, was that I was handed over for amount of R6200 by Vodacom since they had no payment since 28Aug20 (R2000 Made at ABSA ORTambo) Like I mentioned previously, due to ill health, I phoned Vodacom to enquire how to load beneficiary on my FNB account, because when you pick public beneficiary, it gives you few options. I used Vodacom Debtors as advised and my acc nr as reference.
I made EFT payments on 04Sep R2000, 30Sep R3000, 05Oct R1000, 27Oct R1500, 28Oct R1500, 03Nov R1000.
With the 1st of my Vodacom nrs, that I have had for probably about 20yrs, the contract expired mid 2020 and because of lockdown and airline staff being on layoff, I decided not to renew my contract and keep it on prepaid then. But then suddenly this nr was also blocked. the second nr's contract is expiring now, and amasingly enough, I received a statement from Vodacom a week ago, that the remainder of my contract is R1557. That is after I have paid R10 000!!! I phoned MBD again at 08:07 on *** this morning to find out WHAT is going on!! Spoke to a lady with name that I could not make out, something like Phindi or Phinini. After a conversation of 16min22sec, I was NO closer to anything. Over and over I was told that I was handed over on 02Nov so whatever payment I made before then, is NOT MBD's problem!!! When I asked after what period one is handed over, the reply was "90days". BUT I HAVE MADE PAYMENTS IN THOSE 90 DAYS!!! Even though Vodacom does not know where to look for those payments!!! "It is still not MBD's problem". Once again I was told to send the proof of payment to *** which I did before starting this letter. This is now the 5th time!!! I just don't know what to do anymore!!! Vodacom actually owes me money now!!! What lawyer do I get to sue them???!!!!
Maybe, just maybe, you can help???!!!
Regards
Heidi Marais
