MBD ****.
When an agent from MBD Collections first contacted me 09/12/2017@ +/- 8h30, I made an agreement to continue paying R200 a month. The Capital balance was R10 568.38 - according to MBD. They have added ****ed up charges like: Interest: R1622.71; Fees R1278.98. According to their calculations my payments are only R5200 and the balance is R 8171.88. I am disputing the balance because it means I have paid thus far R4600. I have told them that I am a pensioner and can afford to pay R200 only. I am still disputing minimised interest which should not be charged because we agreed on the arrangement. The previous collection company did not charge so-called minimized interest.

04 Dec 2019, 16:30MBD called me back, saying they are from a company called TCR. They said they are collecting for Standard Bank but Standard bank has written the debt off. MBD bought this debt from another debt collection company which wasn't charging extra charges and interest. MBD is a greedy money grubbing company that has no regard even for pensioners. I am a 72 year old woman and with this economy I am barely making it. Now I still have to deal with charlatans who want to milk me dry. MBD needs to practise fairness and respect for pensioners. In fact, this all started with Standardbank who failed to write off this and used the insurance I had been paying all those years to pay up whatever outstanding debt was on that written off credit card. The debt was sold so Standard bank could make extra money even though there was an insurance,and then it was sold again and greedy MBD arrived on the scene ready to pounce and make even more money. I AM A PENSIONER MBD. STOP BEING GREEDY. I HAVE AGREED TO AN ARRANGEMENT WITH YOU AND CHARGING INTEREST IS PURE GREED ON YOUR PART.
